Here the Palmer Foundation brings together some of the leading companies behind the success of British Motorsport. Training and apprenticeship opportunities for aspiring engineers, displays of university motorsport programmes, and the chance to get up close to a high-tech Formula 1 car, are just some of the attractions in this Festival space.
From Classic to Modern times, see some of the most desirable cars in the World. Browse an incredible collection of vehicles from Bentley on Friday, Aston Martin on Saturday, and an open display of rare and exotic automobiles on Sunday. Famous vehicles from Hillclimbing, rally, stock cars and supercars will all be on show.
David Brown Tractors were once exported to over 100 countries around the World. They have a rich history in the local area, with their headquarters in Meltham, less than a mile from the Festival site. Among others, you will be able to see the last tractor ever produced at the factory, as well as all the history that goes with it.
Who hasn’t been fascinated by a digger or bulldozer? The Festival has brought together a remarkable display of iconic earthmovers as well as some really rare and unique machines. Having such an extensive collection in one venue will be a highlight and something to remember for all Plant fans!
Witness firsthand as Formula 1 cars from different generations demonstrate why they are the fastest machines on the planet. And, if you’d like to have a closer look, Bolton University’s incredible Formula 1 machine will be on display at the Palmer Foundation Engineering Village.
A first for Yorkshire, this colossal display of mammoth-sized Mack trucks is sure to amaze young and old alike. Founded in New York in 1900, Mack Trucks became entrenched in British culture when, in 1917, the British government purchased the Mack AC model to supply its World War I front lines with troops, food and equipment.
The Festival brings you one of the most prominent displays of classic and vintage stock cars ever in the North. Paying tribute to legendary local driver and ex-World Stock Car Champion, Stuart Bamforth, his former championship-winning car will be the highlight of the display. A fantastic collection of show-stopping Hot Rods will also be on show here.
Experience the high-speed thrill of World-class driving simulators. Battle it out with fellow Festival goers for the top score and great prizes. Either test your reaction times and skill levels on the racetrack or recreate all the roles of a live pit stop challenge. Can you handle the heat?
