Overdrive Club was founded to provide the support required to enjoy the motor car. It doesn’t matter whether you’ve got a 205 GTI or a 250 GTO, Overdrive Club organises the events and facilitates the use and enjoyment of things two and four wheeled. From exclusive driving tours in the Pyrenees, using transporters to ship cars to location, to cars and coffee meets in the local pub in Yorkshire, Overdrive Club concentrates on getting out and using vehicles.
For the Festival, the Overdrive Club will be bringing around a half a dozen cars including the Cirrus-Buick, an E Type, Mk1 Golf GTI, Aston Martin V12 Vantage S and a few surprises too.
The Cirrus Buick is one of the 'Famous Four' cars in the Friday parade. It was built in 1927 to a “special” design to race in the VSCC. It has a Buick chassis with GN/FN front axle and Chevrolet rear axle, a 5 litre 4 cylinder engine from a DeHavilland Moth (Tiger/Gypsy plane)
We can't wait to welcome The Overdrive Club and their rare collection to the Festival.
