Adrian’s Buick has a Tiger Month engine and is signed on the engine bonnet by Tony George, ex-Chairman, President, and CEO of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Now a permanent fixture in the Yorkshire Overdrive Club.
Duncan’s Tatra is a very local car and has been owned and raced by Duncan for a number of years. The car dates back to 1924 and is of Czech descent. Tatra is third oldest company in the world producing cars with unbroken history, founded in 1850 being also famous for the building of military vehicles, and was very influential in the creation of the VW Beetle by Ferdinand Porsche. It was a very advanced car in 1924!
Joe’s Maserati 250F chassis number CM2 is presented today by United Autosports. This fabulous car has raced in the UK, Dubai and European Historic races, it was even in the famous Donington collection. Sir Stirling Moss referred to the 250F as the best front-engined F1 car he ever drove. It plays a gorgeous sound as it passes by.
We are extremely grateful to all the owners of these exceptional and historically important cars for their appearance today.
Thanks to everyone, the Festival Team hope you have a wonderful time and experience.
