The Yorkshire Motorsport Festival has evolved both from the organisers’ extraordinary passion for all things vehicle-related and their frustration at the lack of large-scale motorsports events in the North of England.
The initial concept for the Festival rapidly evolved into far more than a historic Hillclimb. It is now an all-out entertainment extravaganza with something for everyone to see and do. Live music, shopping, sheep shows, a fairground, fine food and drinks, are all on offer for Festival ticket holders.
Make no mistake though; vehicles are still very much the core focus of this event. And you couldn’t possibly ask for more in that respect. From the humblest of vintage tractors to cutting-edge Formula 1 racing machines, brute-force bulldozers to elegant Bentleys and Aston Martins, the Yorkshire Motorsport Festival is any engineering enthusiast’s fantasy come true.
Truly unmissable, this is simply the most spectacular day out in the North. Tickets on sale early January.
With its scenic venue on the outskirts of the much-loved village of Holmfirth on the northernmost edge of the Peak District National Park, this is a proudly Yorkshire Festival.
Spread across 125 acres, and with a massive line-up of things to see and do, it is the largest event of its kind in the North of England in 2021.
Set on grassy rural farmland, this will be a down-to-earth affair. The Yorkshire Summer can be unpredictable, and shelter is limited. So, please be sure to bring your Wellies and wet weather wear.
Access the Festival from anywhere in the country via public or private transport. Accommodation options to suit every style and budget are available nearby. Or take advantage of our on-site campground. It’s available for a full week before the Festival, allowing you to explore some of Yorkshire’s best-kept secrets at your leisure.
The Yorkshire Motorsport Festival venue has excellent motorway and public transport links, free on-site parking, and a free Park and Ride service from nearby towns. Landing facilities for private aircraft are available close by. Please see the ‘Travel and Parking’ section of our FAQ page for more info.
The Festival’s on-site campground is situated in a scenic countryside location just outside Holmfirth. It has been selected for its phenomenal views across the Holme Valley. The campsite is open from Monday 21st June to Monday 28th June 2021. Click the button below to download more accommodation information.

Keren is possibly the only Yorkshire woman we know who never drinks tea and is terrified of racing pigeons but we promise you she truly is 100% Yorkshire born and bred. Her degree in Medieval and Modern History from the University of Nottingham and subsequent Post-Graduate qualifications qualified her for nothing that was any fun whatsoever. Fortunately, Keren’s love of elegant cars and even greater passion for all things shopping combined with a ninja attention to detail to make the ideal Trade Stand Manager. She says, “I am thrilled to be part of the Festival Team and this fabulous new venture, creating the best retail experience for both exhibitors and guests in our stunning outdoor setting.”
Roger is a businessman, Show Secretary at the David Brown Tractor Club, and co-founder of Saddleworth Tractor Group. He grew up with tractors, and, once he had learned to drive one, he was hooked. I am delighted to be involved with the YMSF Team as the Hot Rods and American car executive in what will be a excellent event for Yorkshire and the North. Having worked with Michael in the past I know it will be a spectacular Festival and a great addition to the Yorkshire calendar. I have been involved with Custom Cars, Hot Rods & American muscle cars since passing my driving test in 1976, in the early years showing my Custom Van on the UK & European Show Car circuit. I also spent 10 years building a 'one off' Hot Rod which in 2005 won Best of show at London's Extreme Wheels event. It has become a passion of mine and over the last 8 years I have been providing Car Content for Classic shows, Exhibitions & Motorsport events throughout the UK.
We welcome Chris Seaman to the TEAM both as one of our Stewards and also as the Festival’s Hillclimb advisor. Having been an active competitor in Speed Hillclimbs for over 35 years, and during that period, Chris has been a holder of many class and hill records at multiple venues. Back in the day, Chris was the overall winner of The Castrol/BARC Hillclimb Championship plus Harewood Speed Hillclimb - FTD Series winner. Having had a successful career in both his extremely rapid MG Midget and his Brabham BT30. A current Yorkshire BARC committee member and the Competition Secretary of BARC Yorkshire/Harewood Speed Hillclimb for over 25 years, Chris brings a wealth of experience.
The Festival is delighted to be partnering with the Mid-Derbyshire Motor Club (MDMC) which is the host motoring club for the Wolfstones Speed Hillclimb. 2021 marks the 71st anniversary of this historic club, which has a long tradition in speed events as well as in both stage & road rallying, track days and numerous other branches of the sport.
Like all motorsport events, the Wolfstones Hillclimb will rely on an army of volunteers to act as marshals throughout the weekend. As host motor club MDMC is responsible for appointing marshals for the hillclimb and, therefore, anyone wishing to participate and be part of what will be an historic event, should contact MDMC.
