For those traveling by car, be mindful that horse riding, cycling, and walking are popular activities in this idyllic rural part of West Yorkshire. Show consideration for other road users, adhere to speed limits, and drive with care and courtesy towards pedestrians, various road users, and our local residents.
Due to the potential congestion in Holmfirth Town Centre, we strongly advise avoiding this location when possible. Satellite navigation systems may not offer optimal routes, so please follow the provided directions and event signage. Note that there is strictly no Festival access through the villages of Netherthong and Upperthong.
- From Manchester and the West via M62: Exit M62 at any Huddersfield exit, follow signs to Huddersfield, then take the B6108 to Meltham, following event signs to the Festival.
- From Manchester / Greenfield / Oldham: Follow the A635 toward Holmfirth, then follow event signs to the Festival.
- From Leeds and the North via M1: Exit M1 at Junction 39 / A636, follow A636 towards Huddersfield, then take the B6108 to Meltham, following event signs to the Festival.
- From Leeds and the North via M62: Exit M62 at any Huddersfield exit, follow signs to Huddersfield, then take the B6108 to Meltham, following event signs to the Festival.
- From Sheffield and the South: Join the A616 from M1 Junction 35a, follow A616 past Stocksbridge to New Mill.
